Mr Weed's Blog - Wednesday 18th May

Hello and welcome to the very first Headteacher's Blog from Hadfield Nursery School. Hopefully this regular blog will give you an insight into what we have been doing in nursery and give you a little bit of news about what is coming up.

Coming back into nursery

This week we have let families back into the nursery for the first time. We do hope you have enjoyed coming back in. It was never our intention to keep families 'locked out' of the nursery but until the rates of Covid infection came down we sadly had no other choice. Please let us know if you have any more suggestions about how we can improve pick up and drop off times. We are always aiming to improve!

The Three Little Pigs

Mrs Bailey will have sent you all our learning plan for this half term so you should know that we are looking at the Three Little Pigs this week. The children have loved building houses to keep the Big Bad Wolf out and have talked about what materials they will use! If you want to watch a reading of the story, please click this link. https://youtu.be/xkKR2iJDowk

Willow Bank Residential Home

As I write, Mrs Mottershead's group have just got back from a visit to Willow Bank Residential Home in Hadfield where we made Jubilee bunting with the residents. Everyone had a great time and our thanks go to everyone at Willow Bank for having us. Thank you too to our parent/grandparent helpers who came with us!

Group photographs

Tomorrow we have our photographer coming to take group photographs of all of the children. You will see the finished product very soon!

Next week.....

Next week is all about the Queen's Jubilee! We have lots and lots of activities planned. On Monday we have Reverend Felicity Walters coming to read us a brand new story about the Jubilee then on Friday we have our Jubilee Party! It will certainly be a week to remember for everyone at Hadfield Nursery School.

Please don't forget to like our Facebook page where you will see all of our latest news and events.
